Product Description

A flanged connection is a detachable joint in which two pipes, pipe fittings, or equipment are first each secured to a flange, a flange gasket is placed between the two flanges, and then bolts are used to tighten the flanges, thereby bringing them into close contact and forming a secure connection.
The flange connection steps are as follows:
First, connection requirements for PVC flanges and pipelines:
1. The centerlines of the pipeline and the flange shall be on the same horizontal plane.
2. The pipeline centerline is perpendicular to the flange sealing surface at a 90-degree angle.
3. The bolt positions on the flanges of the pipeline must align precisely; otherwise, the flanges will not be able to mate properly.
Second, a flange gasket shall be installed between the flanges, with the following requirements:
1. When selecting gaskets for the same water supply pipe or for flanges operating at the same pressure, gaskets of the same type and model should be used to facilitate future interchangeability.
2. For pipelines using rubber sheets, rubber gaskets are the preferred choice.
3. Principles for selecting rubber pads: On the premise that the rubber pad will not be crushed, prioritize selecting a pad with the narrowest possible width.
Third, the connecting flange
1. Verify that the specifications of the flanges, bolts, and gaskets comply with the requirements.
2. The sealing surfaces must be smooth and clean, with no burrs.
3. The bolt threads must be intact and of appropriate length to ensure the bolt can be fully tightened. There shall be no damage, and the threads must engage smoothly and naturally.
4. The rubber pad shall be flexible, resistant to aging, and free from surface damage, wrinkles, scratches, or other defects.
5. Before assembling the flange, thoroughly clean it to remove oil, dirt, and other contaminants, and ensure that the sealing groove is completely cleared of debris.
Fourth, assembly flange
1. The flange sealing surface shall be perpendicular to the pipeline centerline.
2. Bolts of the same specification shall be installed in the same orientation.
3. The flange installed on the branch pipe shall be positioned at least 100 mm from the outer surface of the riser and at least 200 mm from the building wall.
4. Avoid burying flanges directly in the ground whenever possible, as the bolts are prone to corrosion. If burial is unavoidable, appropriate anti-corrosion treatment must be applied.
