1. After the water pump in the integrated water-fertilizer equipment is shut down, all remaining water must be drained from the pump and piping, and any external dirt must be thoroughly cleaned to prevent frozen standing water from expanding and cracking the pump housing and pipes.
2. Cast-iron components of the integrated water–fertilizer machine, such as the foot valve and bends, shall be thoroughly cleaned of rust using a wire brush, then primed with anti-rust paint followed by a coat of finish paint. After the coating has dried, the components should be stored in a well-ventilated, dry area within the equipment room or storage facility.

3. Inspect the ball bearings of the fertigation machine; if the inner and outer races are worn, there is excessive play, the balls are worn, or the surface shows pitting, the bearings must be replaced. For bearings that do not need replacing, clean them thoroughly with gasoline or kerosene, apply grease, and reinstall them properly.
4. Inspect the impeller of the fertigation pump for cracks or small holes, and check whether the impeller retaining nut is loose. If any damage is found, it should be repaired or replaced. If the impeller is excessively worn or completely broken, it should generally be replaced with a new one.
5. For pump shafts that are severely bent or worn, the water-fertilizer integrated machine should be repaired or replaced; otherwise, rotor imbalance and wear of related components may occur.
6. Soak the screws removed from the integrated water–fertilizer machine in diesel, scrub them clean with a wire brush, and then coat them with engine oil or grease. Reassemble them in reverse order, or wrap them securely in plastic sheeting before storage to prevent rusting or loss.
