As the internal pressure increases, the radial clamping force exerted by the O-ring on the sealing surface automatically increases, thereby enlarging the contact area and ensuring a reliable seal.

    The T-shaped gasket is easy to use and is primarily employed when installing a bypass fitting by drilling a hole in a PVC pipe. Because PVC pipes are relatively rigid, drilling a hole with an electric drill and then directly installing the bypass fitting can result in poor sealing and subsequent leaks. By contrast, when the T-shaped gasket is placed over the hole before installing the bypass, the seal is exceptionally tight, the connection is secure and stable, and no leakage occurs.
